| Santa Anna ISD assists in providing for the special
education of children who have a disability. Children with physical disabilities
including vision and hearing problems, mental, perceptual, speech, language,
social and/or emotional disabilities may be eligible for the program. Programs
are available for children ages 0-21.
Early education can be critical because of the amount of learning that
takes place in the preschool years.
The preschool program for children with disabilities provides services
for children ages 3-5. Early Childhood Intervention provides services for
children ages birth-2.
If you are aware of a child suspected of having a disability who lives
in the Santa Anna district, please contact Santa Anna ISD for information
about screening and evaluation services at no cost. The goal of Santa Anna
ISD is to identify children with disabilities living in the district; all
children who qualify for special education services have a right to a free
appropriate public education.
