The Santa Anna ISD
guidance program provides a number of services for our students.
These services include the following:

Individual planning: Assists students
in monitoring and understanding their own development. |
|
Guidance Curriculum:
Provides guidance content to students in a systematic way, primarily
in a classroom setting. |
|
Resources and
referrals: Communicates with students, parents, teachers, and
administrators about needs and available services from our
community, state, and national agencies. |
|
Substance abuse and
violence prevention: Coordinates and implements programs at all
grade levels using trained professionals and research-based programs
through the Region XV Shared Services Cooperative. |

Special Education:
Serves as a member of the ARD committee and helps identify and
accommodate students with special learning or behavioral needs. |
|
Individual counseling:
The school counselor is not a trained psychologist, but has training
in counseling and is able to meet with students individually as
needed. |
|
Coordination of
standardized testing: Planning, implementation, and interpretation
of state-administered proficiency testing and contact person for
SAT, ACT, and TASP tests. |
