8^th Reading

Course Description: My mission is to motivate students to incorporate reading into their daily lives, foster a lifelong habit of reading and library use, and utilize technology to improve student achievement while promoting reading. We will practice and improve reading skills through the use of short stories, newspapers, brochures and magazines, novels and other sources. The reading skills that we will work on are from the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills).

Grading Policy

50% Daily Work (bellwork, homework, class participation, and quizzes.)

50% Tests (major exams, projects, and book reviews)
